Signed-in learners can now search tutors by subject and minimum rating

Signed-in learners can now search for published tutors by subject and minimum rating, then review ratings and review summaries before choosing who to contact.

When a learner runs a search, Mentoro now sends it through an authenticated server action. That search records the exact subject entered, the minimum rating selected, the server-calculated result count, and the top result returned. The learner is then taken to matching published tutor profiles.

This update makes tutor discovery more structured for learners and more useful for the platform. Instead of browsing without context, a signed-in learner can filter for the subject they need, set a rating floor, and immediately see tutors who match those criteria. Ratings and review summaries are available alongside the results, which helps learners compare options more quickly.

The search record also creates a clear trail of what was looked for and what was returned. That means Mentoro can keep track of tutor searches in a way that reflects the exact query a learner made, while still returning only published tutor profiles.

For learners, the workflow is simple: sign in, search by subject, choose a minimum rating, and review the matching tutors. For Mentoro, the new server action adds a reliable way to capture search activity while keeping the experience focused on the tutors that fit the learner’s request.
